A Higher Standard

When Care Falls Short, Families Deserve Better

If you’re questioning the level of care your loved one is receiving, you’re not wrong to look for better.

×Staff seemed rushed?

We limit our home to a small number of residents, so care is never hurried.

×Medication oversight felt uncertain?

Our home is RN-led, with structured medication management, clear documentation, and clinical oversight.

×Communication was inconsistent?

Families receive direct, transparent updates – not vague reassurances.

×Health started declining?

We monitor nutrition, routines, and clinical changes daily.

×Felt institutional, not personal?

We operate a real residential home – calm, structured, and familiar.

×Hospital discharge changed everything?

We specialize in complex transitions, memory care, and progressive conditions.

At Lashawn Adult Family Home, we understand this stage – because before we owned and operated a care home, we were caregivers ourselves.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my loved one’s condition worsens or their care plan needs to change?

We are experienced in managing the progression of dementia, Parkinson’s, and complex medical needs – including hospice coordination – so most residents can stay in place as their needs change.

How is this different from a large assisted living facility?

We limit our home to a small number of residents, which allows significantly more individualized attention and oversight than a large facility can offer.

Can we visit anytime?

Yes. We encourage family involvement and welcome visits.

What does the move-in process look like?

It starts with a private tour and a conversation about your loved one’s needs. From there we complete a nursing assessment, build an individualized care plan, and coordinate directly with physicians or the discharging hospital.

Limited Availability by Design

Let’s Help You Make the Right Decision With Clarity and Confidence

Because our home accommodates only a small number of residents, availability is limited and changes quickly. If you’re considering care in the near future – even a few months out – we encourage you to schedule a private tour now to understand your options.

We’re here to answer your questions honestly, show you how we operate, and help you decide whether Lashawn Adult Family Home is the right fit.
